I am fortunate to have created Earth Center Pottery , a ceramic studio where I share my 20 plus years of experience with wonderful people who have been drawn to clay as a medium for self expression. Having begun my excursion into the world of clay as a young girl in my fathers handbuilding studio, I ventured into the realm of the potters wheel in my first years of college at Moorpark college in Moorpark, Ca. After starting my family, we relocated to Bergen County NJ where I was fortunate to study for 10 years with varied teachers including my mentor Judy Losapio of the Wortendyke Studio in Midland Park, NJ. I then lived in Massachussetts where I began my own teaching studio and studied further with Joseph Godwin, a master potter who studied in Korea.
I have been fortunate to be able to continue the tradition of these influential instructors at Earth Center where individuality, community, deep personal connections and high level technical expertise influence the work of advanced, intermediate and beginner potters.
Students and instructors continualy remind me of the benifits they are experiencing at our studio and the positive effect it is having in their lives, as I am continually inspired and motivated by them to explore new techniques, firings and ideas.
